Next in line please…

Well, It has been a very long time since I updated and a lot has happened since then. I went to Florida to check out the school. Very nice place, and very intimidating. Got to see my friends a bit while down there too.

I also traveled to Vegas for a week or so to see family and friends. That was a nice diversion. Had been looking forward to hitting a couple casinos while there, but once I got there I lost interest. Note to self, It’s too damn hot to live there.

And yesterday, I received a letter in the mail stating that I was officially disabled. That was what I have been waiting on. I can now go down and start convincing the VA people that they need to send me down to Florida and re-educate me. This came at a great time as I had finally decided that I was going to have to find a job and stuff. But hey, I can still look for a job anyway. Probably wouldn’t hurt.

New wheels

As the title states, I finally bought a new vehicle. I go and pick up my new Rav4 today and I’m pretty stoked about it. Took me awhile to decide it was okay to part with that much money, but it’s a necessary evil these days. Gotta have some transportation I suppose.

On a semi related note, now I have a way to travel down to Florida and go do a tour of the school that I’m thinking of attending. My reservation is slated for 15 April and I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully what I want to be when I grow up is there and I can find it.

Update

It’s apparent that I haven’t made any updates of late, but here’s one.

I’m working on a redesign of the galleries and haven’t gotten it quite figured out yet. I also have a few pictures I need to post, as well as a few I still need to take. I haven’t been in too much of a hurry lately and that isn’t a good thing. I really need to get motivated and do something about that too. So starting this week that’s gonna change. 

Chapter 15 or the 2nd day of the rest of my life

I have finally arrived at my final destination just outside of Williamsburg, VA. I’m glad to be finished with the travel for now, especially since the holiday travel period is usually the worst.

I was lucky enough to surprise my mom with a Christmas Eve visit. She wasn’t expecting me until a few days later, but she was thoroughly thrilled that I was there for Christmas. I myself was happy that I didn’t have to spend the holidays alone in some unknown place.

Since I have arrived back here, I see the changes and the growth that has happened over the last 9 years. Most of the area I don’t even recognize any longer. It’s a bit strange here, as it was never a place that I called home for very long.

The fortunate thing for being here is I have a very good place to get more proficient with my camera. It is my goal (not a resolution...quit making those years ago) to become a better photographer and also publish more pictures here on the site this year. I could post tons of the pictures I took in Japan, but most of them I took didn’t have the effect I was looking for.
